Bye-Bye Razor Burn! [Whish Shave Cream Review]

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Whish Body. I received a promotional item and Whish Body samples to facilitate my review.

Bye-Bye Razor Burn! [Whish Shave Cream Review]

Shaving has always been a huge pain in the butt. I have super sensitive skin and I constantly break out in razor burn. It’s not limited to the sensitive bits like my bikini line and underarms. Nope. I get razor burn absolutely anywhere that the razor touches. It’s terrible.

I’ve tried those hair removal creams, but they stink and make my skin burn. I’ve tried waxing but it’s too expensive, too time consuming, and too freaking painful. Plus, you have to let your hair grow out before you can wax and I’m not into the Chewbacca look.

I’ve tried dozens of shaving foams and shaving creams and they’ve all resulted in burned skin. I have bought tons of pre shave and post shave serums and creams and they have fallen flat. Because it’s such a big problem for me and I’m kind of desperate, I am at the point where I’m willing to spend anything if it means that I can have smooth skin, for once.

Thankfully, I recently discovered Whish. Man oh man, I’ve never been so excited about taking something new into my shower. I was skeptical when I got the Whish Shave Cream, Ingrown Hair Serum, and Hair Inhibiting Gel. I was willing to give it a shot, but expected nothing magical.

I love the packaging of all three products. It’s unlike anything I’ve bought before and that was kind of exciting. I read up on the shave cream before using it and learned that it was created with the power of men’s shaving cream but without any harmful chemicals. I was  surprised by how much I liked the shave cream. A little bit goes a long way and it didn’t clog up my razor, like some of my other creams.

As I mentioned, my main problem is razor burn and occasionally ingrown hairs. The Flawless Ingrown Hair Serum worked wonders. I’m not sure if it was the serum alone, or having it paired up with the shave cream and gel, but together… it was truly magical. Okay, it wasn’t magic. It was pretty awesome though.

I recently shot a swimwear lookbook and couldn’t risk having razor burn or bumps all over my skin and showing up in the pictures and video. I used the shave cream, then the hair inhibiting gel, and followed up with the serum in the week leading up to my shoot. My skin was smooth and totally devoid of any burn or bumps.

Maybe one of the reasons that my skin responds so well to Whish products is because they are all natural, paraban free, sulfate free, TEA & DEA free, and petrochemical free. Whish is conscious of their ingredients and my skin thanks me for it. 🙂

You can pick up Whish products at Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com. They are pricier than your typical drugstore shave creams, but I think they’re worth the extra cash. The shave cream is $20, the ingrown hair serum is $22.50, and the hair inhibiting gel is $26. I have no doubt that I’ll be picking up some more Whish when I run out of my current stock. #MC
