March Kitchen Update

Another treat The Sugar Bar will offer… creamy vanilla cheesecake.

I managed to complete everything on my list along with another 10-20 recipes! I’ve been pretty busy these past few weeks working on and testing recipes for my future baking business The Sugar Bar. I’m really hoping all of this hard work pays off (although, I’m pretty positive it will).

Just to give you an idea of how much I’ve been baking, today I ran out of a 10lb bag of sugar that I bought at the start of March. I also went through about 10lbs of confectioner’s sugar and insane amounts of chocolate, candies, and everything else baking related. Hey, I said it’s called The SUGAR Bar, right?

My third baby, my KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, has been hard at work this month. I’m not sure if I would’ve been able to bake anywhere near as much as I did without it. Definitely an amazing investment! I was planning on making a recipe list for every month but with my boyfriend going to bootcamp this month, having to transition to being a pseudo single parent, finishing up my Spring classes, and working on opening The Sugar Bar… this month just isn’t going to be easy.

I do plan on being in the kitchen quite a bit this month and I’ll definitely keep you guys updated. I still have my Taste of Home Baking and ToH Cookbook within arms reach all the time but I’m not for sure on what I’ll be making. I’m hoping to be back at it for May though! By then I will be done with school, I’ll probably have the kids in daycare for 2 days a week (I need some sanity), and I should be transitioned from having Da’Vi gone.
