Easy Sausage and Cheese Quiche

Super easy cheesy sausage quiche

Only 5 ingredients

Sooo much sausage. Breakfast sausage is.. awesome 🙂 We find some way to use it pretty much every weekend. Jimmy Dean is a regular at my house.

You’re supposed to drain the grease. I suppose I missed a step… any who. Off to the oven it goes.

Bon Appétit!

This dish takes about 10 minutes to prepare. Then it spends 45 minutes in the oven and another 10 cooling off. I usually put it together Sunday morning, bath the kiddies, then by the time we head to the kitchen it’s ready to come out of the oven. Super easy and really tasty. You can change how egg-y it tastes by reducing the amount of eggs. You can go all the way down to 3 and still be okay. We also like to make this with ham and spinach. Or pretty much any meat (sausage, ham, bacon) and any veggies we have on hand (onion, peppers, broccoli, etc…).

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll of breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pie crust

Directions:

  • Take out pie crust and let it come to room temperature. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cook breakfast sausage fully.
  • Whisk together eggs and milk. Add 1/2 cup cheese.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Roll out pie crust onto greased 9″ pie pan.
  • Drain sausage. Put sausage on pie crust.
  • Add egg mixture.
  • Cook for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Add rest of cheese to the top then let it cool for 10 minutes. Serve.

Yields: 6 servings
