I dyed my hair the other day and that means I had to overhaul my regular makeup routine. Thankfully the summer makeup trend this year seems to be going nude, and nude works perfectly with my mega bright hair. I tend to steer away from my regular makeup when I have this color of hair. That means that I have to find some more affordable makeup to replace my regular stuff. And I was totally in luck because a ton of Rimmel products are on sale for $3.97 at Walmart right now!

All of these Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate lipsticks were on sale so I had to grab a few different neutral colors. Two are nudes and two are pale pinks that give off that no-makeup, makeup look. After testing out each color, I was pleased to see that they all paired nicely with my new hair color. Although that second pink #102 was a little darker than I expected.

The packaging for these products is freaking gorgeous. They totally draw you in when you’re shopping. If you want to see more pictures from my shopping trip check out my Google+ album.

I actually created a whole video showing you how to recreate my new nude look, which cost me under $30! Pretty awesome price for a full face of makeup.

I snagged two of these neutral colored Glam’ Eyes Quad Eyeshadows and I love the color pay off. I wasn’t sure what to expect because this was my first time buying a Rimmel eye shadow, but they were impressive and lasted all day long. For today’s look I used the one on the left #019 Sun Safari. Clockwise from the top I used them for outer corner, crease, highlight, and lid. They definitely looked great all paired together.

After I applied the eye shadow I went in for a very thin line with this Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Black. I have been hearing SO much about these Kohl liners that I had to pick up a few of them to try. They are super smooth and lasting. They have definitely been bumped right to the top of my list for favorite liner pencils.

I used the nude Kohl liner for my waterline. I like how it opens my eyes up a little more. Make sure you don’t layer on your black liner too thick, because we are going for a nude look here.

After the shadow and liners came the bronzer. I’m using the Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sunbreeze. It was really intimidating to me in the package because it looked dark, but it gave off a really nice shimmery bronze. Perfect for a summertime glow.

Usually in the summer I totally forgo my blush. I have a naturally red face and I tend to get flushed a lot more often in the summer so I don’t need any extra red on my face. Oh and you know… my red hair definitely highlights my redness.

I also tried out the Rimmel Clean Finish Matte Foundation because I was going for a matte look, overall. I don’t want to look too dewy in the summer because it gets a little out of hand sometimes and I end up looking like a sweaty beast. I was highly impressed by this foundation considering it only costs $3.97. It has medium coverage and with a good primer can last quite a while.

And what’s a finished face without some lip gloss? I snagged one of these gorgeous Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Glosses in a pretty nude shade. It made my lipstick pop in a very pretty way. I had a hard time selecting my lip gloss because there were so many to choose from. There are 24 shades and they have a cool new 3D lipgloss coming out in July. 3D gloss, are you as intrigued as I am?

And there you go! We are done. You should be feeling like a #RimmelRealBeauty right about now. If you’d like a step by step video tutorial check out my video below.
