How To Clean a Beauty Blender

…The easy, affordable, and safe way.

Beauty Blender

I found a super deal on these little bad boys on Amazon.com where I was able to get a two pack for only $23. Normally these things are priced at about $20 EACH. If you head over to Amazon like right now… you can get a two pack for only $18!! What a freaking steal. I might have to grab another set for myself or for a future giveaway.

Now, the cleanser is just as ridiculously priced as the sponge. It will run you about $18 for a Beauty Blender Cleanser. I’m not trying to spend a ton of money on some fancy soap for my little beauty blender and you probably aren’t either.

So, here is my little 3 minutes video on how to clean a beauty blender with baby wash. I use the Johnson’s Baby Moisture Wash because it’s infused with baby lotion and makes my sponges smell super yummy (unlike that BB cleanser). You can get the miniature versions of these for like $1-2 at any major retailer.

If you don’t have time to watch the video here are the major steps:

-Wet the sponge and make sure it’s full size

-Squeeze it repeatedly under warm water

-Generously pat the baby wash into the dirtiest areas of the sponge

-Rub the sponge into the palm of your hand… and watch all that nasty stuff start to seep out

-Continue squeezing and rubbing

-Reapply soap as needed

-When the bubbles are all white and your sponge is nice and pink you’re done!

This works for any beauty sponge it doesn’t have to be the Beauty Blender. It’s super gentle because baby soaps are always gentle. This is what’s been working for me and I hope it works for you.

thanks for sharing! My beauty blender needs some cleaning… and my brush cleaner isnt doing the job.
I’ll also heard of mixing this with olive oil… not sure how well that will work either… worth a try, considering these sponges are a little bit pricey.

I got my beauty blender at t.j Maxx and I want to say that I payed $5 or less for it! Maybe it’s something worth checking out. I didn’t even realize they were so expensive originally…
