Fun and Frisky Shopping at Frederick’s of Hollywood

 Now that the kids have unwrapped their gifts and been over-stuffed with sweets I’ve decided it’s time to reward myself and my guy for our successful holiday season. Between school, work, kids, and the Christmastime hustle and bustle I’m always shifting our relationship to the back burner. So, as a splurge for myself and a treat for him I headed to Frederick’s of Hollywood and picked up a few fun new items.

Don’t let the picture fool you. I was surrounded by a mass of Christmas shoppers toting their bags and their spouses.

I’m no stranger to Frederick’s of Hollywood. Unfortunately, the closest one to me is about 30 miles away but it’s located at the wonderfully huge Woodfield Mall, so still we visit often. I decided to venture out on December 23rd, a Sunday, and was overwhelmed with the crowds. That is, until I stepped into Frederick’s of Hollywood. I love that it’s located in a more secluded wing of the mall, away from the hoards of people.

Normally, when looking for lingerie I tend to favor black pieces but I was shopping with my guy in mind so I went straight for the red (his favorite color). Being the holiday season there was no shortage of red to select from. As for style, I’m obviously the one wearing it but he’s the one admiring it, so I like to find a happy medium when it comes to that.

Chemises and babydolls are comfortable enough for me to wear and sexy enough for him to enjoy. Those are really my go-to styles. If I feel over-exposed, or if the lingerie isn’t flattering to my shape then I’ll be uncomfortable and the whole experience will be shot. And nobody wants that.

It definitely didn’t take long to find a bunch of lingerie to try on, especially with the awesome sales they had going on. I took major advantage of the Semi-Annual 8 for $20 panty sale they had going on. A girl can never have enough cute undies.

Plus, my guy makes a point of telling me when he thinks I have “cute panties” on and I hate when he deems them granny panties. I mean, c’mon, my granny wasn’t wearing bright blue panties with the words “SASStastic” written across the butt. Anyway, I dare him to call my new Frederick’s panties granny-esque. After trying on three different lingerie sets, I settled on The Kaitlyn Babydoll. I loved the color, the style, the fit, the extra support up-top, and the awesome price. Only $20! I went with “Frederick’s Red” but I love it so much I could see myself going back to buy it in black or ordering it online.

I’ve yet to show off my new lingerie to my guy but he’s been thoroughly enjoying my latest panty buys, especially the ones in the above photo. And he hasn’t uttered ‘granny-panty’ even once. 😉
