“I Am” Poem

Mama Kat’s Writing Workshop had a poem prompt recently where you were to fill in the blanks and complete an ‘I Am’ poem. The link to the poem is here. I actually thought this was pretty fun… so here’s mine.

I Am

I am focused and multi-talented
I wonder what the title of my first novel will be
I hear elves shuffling bad memories into air tight jars
I see myself traveling the world
I want to be a world renowned author
I am focused and multi-talented

I pretend to not care about a lot of things and people
I feel excited about my future
I touch the leather bound novel with my name at the bottom
I worry that time will escape me
I cry when my kids are in pain
I am focused and multi-talented

I understand that things won’t always go according to plan
I say that my kids will be successful and autonomous
I dream of honing every talent I possess
I try to be patient with people that are unintelligent and unaware
I hope that I raise my kids without major regrets
I am focused and multi-talented

Now, who are you?
