A couple of weeks ago, when Disney’s FROZEN hit theaters, I took my took little monsters to go see it. The movies usually entail about nine potty breaks, $30 worth of popcorn, and a whole of of shushing the kiddies. I rarely take my kids because it’s such a hassle but I just could NOT resist taking them to see FROZEN. They saw the previews a few times and wouldn’t stop asking me to go, and I’m so glad we did.
In general, I absolutely love Disney movies. I grew up with them and they are still some of my favorite movies of all time. I mean, c’mon I named my daughter Nahla… as in Simba’s boo thing from The Lion King (with a slightly different spelling). Disney movies are always super entertaining for adults and kids and have awesome undertones. FROZEN definitely didn’t disappoint.
Despite missing a solid chunk of the movie due to their teeny tiny bladders, the kids couldn’t stop talking about FROZEN after we left the theater. Throughout the movie, I couldn’t help but think of my little niece Veda who lives about 15 hours away. She is about 5 months younger than my daughter, Nahla, and about 4 months older than my son, Jaden. They’re three little peas in a pod when she is in town visiting.
FROZEN is all about keeping familial ties as you grow up. The idea of keeping the kids close and caring about each other as they grow up, despite the distance, is super important. Elsa and Anna were both absolutely perfect and I LOVE their relationship.
I knew that I wanted to get the kids all some FROZEN toys for Christmas because they’re so in love with the movie. They have way more toys than they are going to know what to do with already, but I just couldn’t resist. I wanted all three kids to have special toys that they could bond over. Walmart has an insane selection of FROZEN merchandise out. I got each kid a few different toys and let Nahla and Jaden pick out some special stuff for Veda.
After stocking up on toys we headed to Subway inside of Walmart for a quick dinner. It was FREEZING outside on this particular day and I was in a rush to get to my finals that night so Subway to the rescue. The kids pretty much eat two things anyway: soup and sandwiches. They are pretty easy to please when it comes to food. We went to the Subway in Walmart because they have special Fresh Fit for Kids meals featuring FROZEN, right now! How fitting, right? 😉
I have the toys all wrapped up and under the tree now. I know that these three little toddling cousins are going to be so excited to have their FROZEN gear this Christmas. They each got a figure and a snow wand with the BEST song ever haha. I couldn’t stop pressing the button to hear “Let it gooo, let it goo!” Don’t judge me, I love Disney music.
If you haven’t seen FROZEN yet, you’re definitely missing out. It’s a great family movie. And I know all the kiddies are going to have some serious #FrozenFun this Christmas!
You found some great toys! I bet they did have some great #FrozenFun! 🙂 #client
