Did you read the last sentence? “The results is the elimination of storage of excess calories and toxins.” Yeah. I think most of you can gather what this means. Yeah, lots of elimination.

As I’ve mentioned multiple times, my boyfriend joined the Navy and before leaving to boot camp he was told to watch his weight. I watch YouTube videos when I get spare time and one of the beauty gurus mentioned Slimming Tea. I’m not one to try dietary supplements and I really don’t believe in them but because Da’Vi needed to drop a few pounds before he left I bought him a box on Amazon.

He never really got around to drinking it until the night before he left. I’m not sure whether he read the directions because he chose to make a huge cup of it with two tea bags. Bad idea. Bad, bad, bad idea. He was cramping and running to the bathroom multiple times that night.

Even though Da’Vi told me of his bathroom woes I brushed them off and decided that I didn’t want to let the other 22 tea bags go to waste. Now, the tea was only around $4 for a box but my want to not waste mixed with my curiosity and sprinkled with the fact that I had a weigh-in for myself with my surgeon drove me to try the tea for myself. What a mistake.

I made a cup of it before I went to sleep, steeping one bag for far too long. It didn’t taste all that great (I bought the honey-lemon flavor), so I added some Sweet N Low and honey to make it more palatable. I drank the cup, felt nothing, and went to sleep.

When my daughter woke up sometime around 7am the next morning my stomach was killing me. The cramps were terrible. I tried to just lay down and wish them away but that didn’t work. The cramps continued for hours and the… cleansing went on all day long. It was crazy. That tea might as well just be a laxative.

As for how it works as a ‘slimming tea’ I have to say, it doesn’t. Yes, you are cleansed but you aren’t necessarily slimmer. I was right back at my regular weight the following day and it was as if all that cleansing never happened. Obviously, you are meant to drink it regularly but c’mon who wants to be THAT cleansed regularly? Not me.

For those of you considering purchasing Slimming Tea, I recommend that you follow the directions, unlike me. The directions say you should lightly steep ONE bag until you can build up some tolerance to it. Some people really enjoy the product and swear by it but my honest opinion is that it doesn’t work so don’t waste your money.

Have you tried the slimming tea? Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Hi Sarah! That was a very fun review to read. If you ever want to detox for real, you should give juicing a whirl. It really does clean out the toxins from your system…..and, yes, you will likely be on the potty for part of that detox, but after a few days, you should feel your energy levels go up and your weight go down. 🙂 I’m looking forward to doing a juice fast one day…after I’m no longer breastfeeding.

I don’t think I have the patience to make my own juices and I don’t know how much I would enjoy the taste of those homemade juices.

I have used this slimming tea for many years. Although I can’t say that I have lost any great deal of weight, I can say that it keeps my bowels on the move. I took some to friends in UK, one woman lost 7 lbs in 10 days!! I am happy for her, I do not have the same results but every one is different, as they say, don’t knock it till you tried it!!!
