One of my many big brothers had a birthday recently and a group of us headed to Mexico to celebrate the occasion. We planned this trip before my son’s little accident and I wasn’t sure if we would even be able to make it. Graciously, my parents offered to help out, so we were off to Cancun! Of course, before leaving I had to pick up a few more Aerie swimsuits.
I know many of us have been dealing with this polar vortex lately, but with a trip to my family’s homeland in the works, a little warm weather shopping was definitely necessary. This is really one of the best times to shop for swim because all the new cute stuff is dropping and you can scoop up a few suits before your size sells out.
If you read my previous post, you know I’ve been dealing with some old familiar issues with my body. This trip came at a time where not only did I not want to post photos online wearing swimsuits, I didn’t exactly want to prance around in front of a bunch of strangers wearing them either.
However, I didn’t want to be another grey cloud over our already drenched trip to Mexico, so I decided to put on a happy face and strut around in every single one of my new Aerie swimsuits. These suits all fit my body really well and make it a lot easier to feel confident while wearing them.
We hung around the beach in what might be my new favorite swimsuit. This little yellow bikini top fits beautifully and matches perfectly with these super cute high waisted printed swim bottoms. I felt like a powerful rainforest princess wearing this outfit and situated among the lush greens.
I met a new friend while wearing this green and lilac floral printed one-piece. It’s the same cut and style as one I wore last month, and I had a lot of people ask what the back looked like, so we made sure to get you a good look at it. It’s super comfortable and I don’t find it to be too short in the torso, like some other one-piece swimsuits can be.
While we shot in this little striped number we were greeted by about 20 or so Coatis, aka the South American raccoon. We fed them all the food we could find in our room and smuggled some buns out of the cafe after lunch for them too. I think they appreciated it.
This little set, is another favorite. This white ribbed bikini top has a built in bra and is the most comfortable swimsuit I’ve put on in a while. These pink and white high waisted bottoms fit just right and come in lots of other colors and prints.
I really fell in love with all of these Aerie swimsuits. They fit beautifully, I got them all in an XXL in case you were wondering. They are a great quality, affordable, and super cute.
Of course, as part of Aerie’s Love The Swim You’re In Campaign these photos are all completely un-retouched. Their mission inspire us all to love and accept our own bodies is one that I will gladly stand behind. If you want to join us in this campaign, all you need to do is share your own 100% un-retouched swim photo with the tag #AerieREAL @Aerie, and Aerie will donate $1 (now up to $50,000!) to the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). #AeriePartner
